Eir

redesigned my Eir cos I worked out her backstory ^^
In the mythology all that's really said about her is that she is the best of doctors and one of frigg's handmaidens. Her name means mercy or help. ^^

In my version she is the daughter of Idunn and Thjazi.
my Thjazi wanted to build an army to challenge the Aesir and take Asgard, he called himself the king of the jotun. He heard of idunn who was at the time imprisoned by her darkelf brother that was trying to turn her into a dark elf and supress her half dis side.
Thjazi thought a half Dis half light elf would be a useful addition to his futuer Asgard so he travelled to Alfheim and killed her brother thinking she would be greatful. But idunn loved her Brother inspite of everything and ran off. She then began to grow the golden apples that brought her to the attention of Bor. Bor knew then apples would make his kingdom forever young and sent Odin to fetch her.
Thjazi learned about this and tried to steal her from Asgard. he shapeshifted and pretended to be a servant talked his way into asgard ad started dating Idunn. Idunn got pregnant right before Thjazi was discovered and chased out of asgard. Terrified that her daughter would be evil like Thjazi so used her apples to keep Eir 8 for many years not wanting her to grow up.
Then thjazi forced Loki to kidnap idunn and Eir was finally able to grow up. By the time Idunn was retuerned she was no longer a child and not her mum's biggest fan. She moved into Frigg's hall with frigg's other handmaidens and rarely speaks to Idunn. No one but Odin and idunn know who her father is.
